I asked DH last week if he would like to take golf lessons with the kids and I as a family activity. Wouldn’t that be fun?

He said no.

I was stunned. I asked him why. He stared blankly at me; so I pressed on. Finally he said he doesn’t want to golf with me.

Nice. He says I’ll talk to him. There is no talking in golf. Just like there is no crying in baseball.

Then last night he tells me he wants to take the kids to the driving range this weekend. wtf? I said, you told me last week when I suggested we golf together you don’t want to golf with me, too much talking. I ask if he is saying he is inviting them but not me. He said no, but I am getting dangerously close to being uninvited.

I ask what has changed since last week. He says he does not have an answer. He uses this response when he knows his real answer will only piss me off. He then says DD has shown an interest in golf. And SS wants to go to hang out with him. Gee, think that was why I suggested it the first time?

So DH and kids are golfing this weekend. I may stay home and take a bath or go out with a girlfriend instead, because my husband is a butthead. Or I may be a good sport and go. We shall see.
