Pavilion Ice Cream North Myrtle Beach
Seriously, who places this poster at the eye level of children?
This place, O. D. Pavilion Ice Cream, was walking distance from our condo in North Myrtle Beach. We were actually going to cross the street in another direction. But the light was not working in our favor.
When I saw the poster I expected the place to be filled with smarmy men, and adjacent to a massage parlor. Behind the counter was a character right out of a James Cagney film – old and crusty with a strong accent. He was inquiring of a young man about his military commitment.
There was another family eating ice cream and watching the merry-go-round. The Pavilion is an amusement park. We didn’t explore it much. There was a large divided room full of arcade games. And beyond the merry-go-round and ice cream parlor were more rides.
We liked the ice cream. I got a brownie sundae with coconut almond ice cream. It was enough for two people. But DH does not share my taste in ice cream flavors. So he got something else.
Ole Salty asked if the ice cream was okay, and was very jovial. It would probably have been rude of me to ask if he had chosen the poster.
