I agree Natalie Portman was good in the Other Boleyn Girl. I just didn't think the movie overall was great. I have not seen Garden State. But not being the target demographic doesn't always deter me. I loved Bring It On. And I am a good ten years older than those characters when the movie came out. But I still remember the cheer competition being the end all and be all of life.

On the flip side, I am really glad that actual teens seem to play teens in movies now. I remember lamenting how none of the boys in my high school were anywhere close to as good looking as Andrew McCarthy. Then somebody told me that no high school boy will ever look as good as a 26 year old. Such unfair expectations set in those John Hughes films. lol.

I straight up know I can't handle that movie. No way. Too much anguish. I get extremely involved in movies. I think I'd cry more than Steel Magnolias.

Have you seen Garden State? I really liked her in that. But I think it was directed more towards my generation. And The Other Boleyn Girl was decent, but I'm a sucker for period pieces.

And I agree, The Professional was awesome. I cried at the end of that too.
