Redundancy is not always good

The problem with my media files aka as pictures not showing up when I post now, is of course, my fault.  When I changed my domain, I ended up with two directories for this blog instead of one.

That was fine until I fixed the redirect.  And now it is redirecting to the wrong place.  And I’m not quite sure how to fix it without bringing the whole thing down.  Nice.

This time I learned my lesson and instead of mucking about for three hours, just sent an email to Bluehost support.

I deleted my old geekthoughts domain, my failed experiment, if you will.  I didn’t like the model, which I set up as recommended by some blogger expert whose name I cannot remember at this moment.  It got traffic and comment, none of which proved useful to me in real life.  So, off with it’s head!  Well, not exactly, I let it die a slow death of abandonment and just now got around the deleting it a year later.  It was a good experience though, reminded me I still know how to write deeply geeky stuff and did  use it as a resume of sorts for a while.

In spite of my three hour foray into wtf is wrong with Bill’s redirect, I managed to get almost everything checked off my to-do list today.  I should work in cafes and libraries more often.
