Genealogy Project – Pierre Cottin
So here is where I am in the family genealogy project. I have a bunch of scrapbook pages, and some text on them. I will add information as I go. This way it will be recorded while I am alive. Because as grandma said, eventually, I die.

This is Pierre Cottin. He is my great grandfather. In all photographs of him following WWI he is wearing a vest. He was a veteran; and a section of his torso and ribcage were blown away. He stuffed a handkerchief in the gap and wore a vest over it to cover it up.
He lived until the 60s, when he died of cancer. The family lived in Nice for some time due to his job in the insurance industry, but returned to Marseille during WWII.
My grandmother adored him. So I have a lot of pictures of him.
I’m not going to scan everything. It is time consuming and will get really boring.
