I have not fallen from the Earth

No, really, I haven’t fallen from the Earth.  I just lamely marked my last post as a draft, then forgot to finish it up and post it – for a week.

And I’m trying to spend my writing type energies writing for Suite 101, the online magazine widget you see to the right, which actually earns some money, and other venues.  Though I intend to still entertain myself and anyone else who is interested on this blog.

I will attempt to post a photo of my failed hairstyle, which might provide a laugh.  Though nobody ever takes my picture.  Or they come out so badly that I delete them.  The hair though, is amusing.  I showed the stylist a photo of Penelope Cruz in Volver and said, similar cut to that.  She said, that is a whole lot of layers.

The haircut that actually happened looks sort of 1985.  Since I was alive in 1985, I am far too old to do “retro.”

Really big hair.

I checked out a few of your articles. That’s cool that you write for magazines… for money! Do you actually read all of these books you review? I find it hard enough to finish a 300 page novel in a month, and don’t get me wrong I love to read

Thanks for the vote of confidence Aaron. Though, I would not get excited about what I earn writing. I am hoping it will improve with continued effort.

And yes, silly, of course I read what I review. How else could I review it? I read in evenings when most people watch tv. We have a tv. But it seems like there are 300 channels of nothing to watch.

I want to see the big hair!! I looove big hair. Probably because I could layer every centimeter of my hair and it still wouldn’t be poofy. Do you have a straightening iron? Fekkai (sp?) makes excellent smoothing products.

Liz, yes I have a straightening iron. I used it a lot for a while. Then I became bored with it. I’m sure I’ll get interested in it again at some point – but not with this hair cut.

I have two different brands of smoothing things. One is a cream, the other similar to a gel but not all that thick. They work well for calming the frizz on most days.
