Crazy Messages
This makes me sorry for the famous.
I am receiving crazy messages. No, not imaginary from in my head. Messages from completely random people. I’m not even that interesting, let alone famous. I drink chocolate soy milk and blog in the evening. I’m a geek.
TROLL by felicia.day
- Crazy Message 1 – Anonymous message board troll insults me in a way that makes me wonder if I know him/her irl. Troll also insults several other people, then vanishes from board.
- Crazy Message 2 – Brother calls. An unusual occurrence, but not necessarily a bad thing.
- Crazy Message 3 – Ex sends not one, but two messages. This had to involve some sort of creepy looking for me. And included a photo. Dude, when a woman leaves you, the state, changes her name, phone number, place of employment, and email address several times, you can be sure she doesn’t want to remember you, see you, or hear from you again. Ever. Anyway, it’s been about ten years. Get over it.
Other weird events: someone keeps hitting my blog, trying to see pages that have been deleted. Let me save you some time. If you don’t see a post here anymore; that’s because it is gone. You can keep looking. And you can keep getting the 404 error. If you aren’t a troll, you might want to just ask me why you can’t see it anymore.
Bah.

What is the world coming to? Could #3 and “other” refer to the same person? The idea that you can always be found is disturbing.
What’s wrong with being a geek? Or is that just a new way of saying elitist?
#3 and other could be the same person. But the locations would say otherwise. Although, #3 is smart enough to make himself look as though he is in one location on the internet, while being in another. Unfortunately, being awful is not mutually exclusive with being intelligent. So really, no idea, but your theory has merit.
Nothing has to be wrong with being a geek. It just isn’t a personality type I think of as being glamorous or exciting, or somebody you would want to bother.
Are these politically motivated?Or just family/friends whackos?
I’m sorry people are being weird. I have bad dreams of exes finding me. I have some really special ones. They suck.
@Alec The message board messages have been those kinds of political responses that assault the original poster, in that I don’t agree with you so I’m going to call you names and be really ugly kind of way. It’s a definite down side to anonymity.
@Liz Being found in general is not bothersome to me. I have found and been found by some nice people that I had lost touch with over the years. It’s the being found by a person who I have very clearly told not to contact me that is disturbing. It’s too bad being that we don’t get to have the positive without the negative.
I hope your special exes never find you.
