I Guess I’ll Use My Feet

I am tempted to buy a new set of rollerblades. The ones I have no longer fit. But it seems silly to purchase a new pair, when I am so absolutely bad at using them.

I am also interested in scooters, maybe more than rollerblades because you could simply drop a scooter in the trunk of your car without the hunt for shoes. I am ridiculously old for a scooter. Though I see people of all ages riding them now that gas prices have soared. Certainly, I would walk to work if I were able.

For a while I saw a balding man riding a scooter to work every day. But I haven’t seen him lately. I had imagined that one day I would see him and realize he was very fit. But now, I don’t see him at all.

I suspect my plan for riding a scooter would work as badly as my plan to walk the dog. I never seem to have time after work. Before work is too early. And that leaves only lunch, and only activities that are not too sweaty.
